Question
Further to WQ99663, has the Welsh Government decided whether to introduce statutory allergy safety requirements for schools, and if not, when will a decision be made and published?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Education and the Welsh Language (Anna Brychan)
The Welsh Government has committed to revising its current statutory guidance on supporting learners with healthcare needs with a public consultation planned for 2027.
As part of the work, we are considering existing guidance on emergency adrenaline auto-injectors alongside the quality and consistency of allergy safety and training in maintained schools.
