Question
Will the Minister confirm the health protection rules that apply to weddings and celebrations that are taking place in private gardens or other outside spaces, and the numbers of people allowed to attend such events?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Economy
Wedding or Civil Partnership ceremonies cannot currently take place in private gardens under UK marriage law.
Wedding celebrations are controlled by the Health Protection Coronavirus (Wales) regulations which can be found here. https://gov.wales/coronavirus-legislation-restrictions-individuals-business-and-others
Guidance for planning wedding receptions is available here: https://gov.wales/guidance-weddings-and-civil-partnerships-receptions-and-celebration-events
