Question

Will the Minister confirm whether the Welsh Government will make additional funds available to private leaseholders to address fire safety and building defects and, if so, the date on which these funds will be released?

Answered by Minister for Climate Change

£32m has been committed for this financial year to help address fire safety issues in high rise residential buildings. This funding will be available to both the public and private sector.

My officials are working to develop a funding programme, and I intend to make an announcement shortly.
