Question
What plans does the Welsh Government have to introduce a central public database of Welsh Government owned property and land?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Finance and Local Government
HM Land Registry (HMLR) maintains an extensive, publicly accessible, database of land and property ownership. In 2011 Welsh Government engaged with HMLR on a programme of voluntary first registration to ensure our property holdings were appropriately captured. We continue to work with HMLR on maintaining our records and through their office in Wales support their current initiative to achieve comprehensive registration.
