Question
Will the Minister confirm how many times the Wales Employment and Skills Board met since March 2020 and what discussions has it had about green skills?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Economy
The Wales Employment and Skills Board (WESB) met in September 2020
The Regional Skills Partnerships (RSP), which chair WESB on a rotational basis, are producing a report on green skills which is expected to be completed in November. As we move forward with work to develop the remit of the RSPs we will further consider how their work can help Wales meet its Net Zero commitments.
In addition, there is a range of activity where green skills is being discussed. For example, the Optimised RetroFit Programme team meets regularly with key stakeholders such as sector skills partners, supply chains representatives and business organisations to discuss matters relating to green skills.
