Question
Will the Minister provide a breakdown of how and where UK Government COVID-19 funding has been spent?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Finance and Local Government
The details of funding allocated from Welsh Government reserves have been provided in the three supplementary budgets published during the 2020/21 financial year; the draft and final budgets for 2021/22; and, most recently, the first supplementary budget for the current year. Copies of our budget documents can be found on the Welsh Government’s web site at: Welsh Government budgets | GOV.WALES
I have also written to the chairs both of the Finance Committee and Local Government and Housing Committee detailing recent allocations. A copy of that letter can be found on the Senedd’s website at: Eich cyf (senedd.wales)
A breakdown of expenditure from our Covid reserve in 20210/21 will be included in the Welsh Government Annual report and Accounts, which will be published following completion of the audit by Audit Wales.
