Further to WQ83432, will the Minister consider amending policy 42 of Carbon Budget 2 so to set a target for creating shore-side and canal tow-side charging points?

Domestic shipping vessels standards are a reserved UK Government policy. However, port infrastructure and planning has a strong devolved element.
We are open to updating our approach in light of new evidence or ideas. Electric boats are a cleaner and greener way to travel and we are keen to work with operators to understand how electric boats could be encouraged.
