Question
What consideration has the Minister given to connecting the disused dual carriageway behind the old LG complex at Coedkernew to the Southern Distributor Road to ease traffic at the Ebbw Bridge and Tredegar roundabouts?

This section of dual carriageway is the responsibility of Newport City Council and we have not had any discussions with them regarding your suggestion.
We are however moving forward with the 58 recommendations made by the Burns Commission that will lead to significant improvements for the region. The delivery board are employing a new way of working bringing together varied stakeholders to deliver the multi-modal recommendations ensuring we achieve our goals set in Llwybr Newydd, the Wales Transport Strategy.
