Question
How much will the planned changes to the A48 cost the Welsh Government?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
Work done by the South East Wales Transport Commission estimated the cost of these improvements to be around £30m plus any utility diversions and land acquisition (if required). This bus and active travel scheme is being publically consulted on now, with a variety of options presented. More detailed cost estimates are being prepared on each option as part of this ongoing work and will inform decisions on the next steps for a preferred solution.
