What analysis has the Welsh Government undertaken to estimate how much traffic will be directed to the M4 as a result of changes to the A48?

In parallel to engagement with the public, transport appraisal is underway using a detailed traffic model, which will look at the impacts of each option on the A48 and the wider network (including the M4). These impacts, alongside other assessment information and feedback from the public, will be considered jointly by Cardiff and Newport Councils and Welsh Government to decide next steps.
