Question
What action is the Welsh Government taking to streamline the planning process to make it easier for households to install solar panels?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Climate Change
The installation of most small scale domestic renewable energy technologies, including solar panels, benefit from permitted development rights. This means that they can progress without the submission of a planning application. The planning process for the installation of domestic solar panels is therefore already streamlined.
