Question
What support is Welsh Government providing in 2022 for independent music festivals?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Arts and Sport, and Chief Whip
The Welsh Government supports the establishment, growth and development of a wide range of ‘home-grown’ independent music festivals in Wales, including in 2022: FOCUS Wales, The Big Retreat, Other Voices Cardigan and Tafwyl. In addition, through the three rounds of the Cultural Recovery Fund, support of over £25m has been granted to eligible cultural sector businesses and suppliers including recipients from the live music sector and independent music festivals.
