Question
What is the Welsh Government doing to safeguard food security in Wales?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
I refer you to my answer to your related question WQ84763 which outlines the multiple levels of engagement the Welsh Government is undertaking with the agri-food industry and with other administrations in the UK. Welsh food supply is integrated within the wider UK and international supply chains. Consequently, food security needs to be considered at a UK level in terms of how supply chains operate and food flows in and out of Wales.
