Question
Further to OQ57142 on 9 November 2021, will the First Minister explain why the Welsh Government has not as of 23 March 2022 explored space sharing and other co-location opportunities at the offices in Llandudno Junction?
Answer
Answered by First Minister (Mark Drakeford)
With the Covid19 Omicron variant a major concern throughout much of this period and to make sure our offices have remained safe, Welsh Government’s focus in line with public health guidance has been on limiting the numbers of people coming to its offices. Nevertheless, we are continuing to work across the public sector with the aim of identifying all realistic co-location opportunities at our offices, including the Llandudno Junction office, and as we move beyond the emergency response to the pandemic there will be greater scope for these opportunities to be properly explored. However, it will take time to build a clearer post-pandemic view of numbers returning to the workplace before plans can be firmed up.
