What was the process taken for appointing directors to the Global Centre for Rail Excellence?

The Chairperson and the Deputy Chair were selected based on their considerable commercial experience, whilst both also understand what is required to protect public money. The existing landowner Celtic Energy has a contractual right, under the land purchase agreement, to nominate a director whilst the project site at Nant Helen remains in their ownership. The Celtic Energy representative is not, and has not been, involved in any discussions or decisions by the GCRE Board that could have financial or other benefits to Celtic Energy.
