Question
Will the Minister clarify what steps were taken to publicise the 1 day public drop-in sessions held throughout Wales as part of the process of developing Future Wales: The National Plan 2040?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Climate Change
Public drop-in sessions for the National Development Framework (known as Future Wales – the National Plan 2040) were held during the consultation periods on the Preferred Option in spring 2018 and the Draft Plan in autumn 2019.
These events took place in publicly accessible locations such as libraries, across Wales. They were publicised directly with all stakeholders who had signed up for newsletter updates on the plan, in accordance with data protection requirements. Events were also publicised by the Welsh Government on its website and social media channels, and through posters and flyers in the venues. A number of 3rd parties also publicised the events through their own communications methods.
