Question
Will the Minister publish the outcome of expressions of interest for the Building Safety Passport Scheme, including the number of buildings with identified defects, their location, size, and tenure?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Climate Change
As detailed in my written statement on 29 March, we have completed our digital surveys of 248 submitted expressions of interest, which cover both social and privately owned buildings. This work has identified over 100 buildings that require further intrusive surveys.
We will not be publishing expression of interest data regarding specific buildings, however we have previously issued information in respect of the number of buildings per local authority area that have submitted expressions of interest.
We are in the process of writing to responsible persons regarding their expression of interest and whether further intrusive survey work is needed. Our intention is that intrusive surveys will be completed by the end of the summer.
