What assessment has the Minister made of the additional costs associated with prolonged waiting lists?

As part of health boards IMTP submissions, they have been asked to produce plans and trajectories to achieve the challenging ambitions contained within the Planned Care Recovery Plan. Once received, these will be reviewed to determine whether they are acceptable and whether any further resource is required.
Welsh Government gave the NHS in Wales nearly £250 million last year to support recovery from the pandemic and has made £170 million available recurrently specifically to support planned care recovery going forward.
