Question
What is the current capacity in authorised facilities located in Wales for quarantining the pets of Ukrainian refugees arriving here?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
Wales has an approved quarantine facility with spaces for up to 34 dogs. On 13 June, 21 of these spaces were occupied. However, the number of spaces occupied changes on a daily basis as new animals arrive and others are released from quarantine. Whilst animals are quarantined near to their owners where possible, spaces across Great Britain can be made available for allocation.
