Question
What assessment has been made by the Welsh Government as to the amount of heavy metals such as lead that is found in human blood?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Health and Social Services
The Welsh Government has not made an assessment of heavy metals found in blood. The Welsh Blood Service, in line with other UK blood services, do not test samples from donors for heavy metals and there are no recommendations to do this.
