Question
What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the value that zoo's across the UK bring to conservation science efforts in Wales?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Climate Change
Welsh Government recognises the important conservation science efforts made by zoos across Wales and the UK, and has provided support to projects led by a number of zoos. This includes, for example, Nature Networks funding for the Zoological Society of London’s Project Siarc to carry out conservation research on Wales’ marine environment with a focus on sharks, skates and rays.
