Question
Will the Minister confirm what checks are in place to ensure that there are no exploitations of the free travel scheme for refugees?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
All passengers eligible for free bus travel under our Welcome Ticket scheme must show one of the documents listed in the scheme terms and conditions when boarding a bus. The same documents must be presented to a TfW ticket inspector on their request when travelling by rail.
