Question
Will the First Minister provide a breakdown of which media companies have received money in advertising from the Welsh Government, noting how much they have received?
Answer
Answered by First Minister (Mark Drakeford)
I refer you to the answer given in WQ86103:
We do not hold this level of detail on individual spend over this period. Over the last five years, we have advertised in a wide variety of magazines, newspapers and websites. Our media buying agency advises on the approach to this for individual campaigns, taking into account target audiences and any geographical considerations as relevant. A breakdown of our spending across all paid-for advertising is below:
2017-18
£4,875,584
2018-19
£4,054,841
2019-20
£7,211,032
2020-21
£6,772,234
2021-22
£6,541,221
2022-23 (to date)
£1,380,840
