Question
What is the Welsh Government doing to support pubs?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Economy
Through the Economic Resilience Fund and the Cultural Recovery Fund the Welsh Government provided Covid support of more than £1.5m to help pubs and bars in Wales survive the pandemic. An additional £116m package of non-domestic rates relief for retail, leisure and hospitality ratepayers was also provided for 2022-23.
I continue to engage on a regular basis with hospitality and tourism industry representatives through the Visitor Economy Forum to discuss a range of issues relating to the opportunities and challenges facing the sector.
