Question
What discussions have taken place to ensure that North Wales benefits from Eurovision being hosted in Liverpool?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Economy
We congratulate Liverpool on winning the bid to host the 2023 Eurovision and are reaching out to them in terms of potential links to Wales and stand ready to respond to any requests for support they might make. We will also be liaising with VisitBritain to take any opportunities that might be there for Wales in terms of accommodation benefits and more particularly, options to encourage those visiting Liverpool for Eurovision, to extend their stay and visit Wales.
