Question
What is the Minister doing to ensure that local authorities serving rural areas are able to provide services?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Finance and Local Government
In 2022-2023 Local Authorities in Wales will receive £5.1 billion through the Welsh Government in core revenue funding and non-domestic rates to spend on delivering key services across all their areas. The largest drivers of service expenditure are population levels, deprivation levels and sparsity and these are reflected in the distribution methodology for the Settlement.
