Question
What consideration has the Welsh Government given to building a new bridge across the Menai Straits?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
Work has been ongoing to look into a third crossing. It has now gone through WelTAG stage 2 – the current estimate of cost is £400million. It has been reviewed as part of the Roads Review panel. I will be asking the North Wales Burns review to address the issue of resilience in the longer term.
