Question
Will the Minister confirm if any discussions have taken place regarding patients paying for NHS treatment in Wales, further to reports that NHS bosses in Scotland have discussed this as an option?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Health and Social Services
There have been no discussions in Welsh Government regarding patients paying for NHS treatment in Wales. While Welsh Government do speak to other UK nations this is related to existing charging rates.
