Question
Will the Minister confirm the cost of introducing the Fflecsi scheme?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
To date we have invested £1m capital and £2.446m revenue funding to establish a number of pilot fflecsi demand responsive bus schemes across Wales in Newport, Blaenau Gwent, Pembrokeshire, Rhonda Cynon Taff and the Conwy Valley. The Newport scheme ended in September, other fflecsi services have been introduced in Denbighshire, Gwynedd and Flintshire funded separately by local authorities. These initial fflecsi schemes have provided very useful insight into how demand responsive bus services can fully support our plans to transform bus travel across Wales over the next few years.
