Question
Will the Minister set out how much money as on 1 January 2023: a) remains unspent from the rural development plan; b) remains unallocated from the RDP; and, c) how much money from the Minister's portfolio will be repaid to the EU as it is unspent?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
a) The Rural Development Programme spend to 31 December 2022 is £680m. The total value of the programme is £842m. Therefore £162m is unspent. Please note the sterling value of the programme is not fixed due to constant changes to the exchange rate.
b) The programme is over-committed, and we expect projects to deliver against their agreed objectives in line with Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 N+3 rules and timeframe.
c) None.
