What consideration has the Welsh Government given to lowering the speed limit from 40mph to 30mph along the A487 trunk road between the villages of Glandyfi, Egwlysfach and Furnace in Ceredigion?

We have reviewed the speed in line with current guidance which concluded no change to the speed limit at that time. However, we are in the process of updating the Setting Local Speed Limits in Wales guidance and the work may see a change in the criteria for lower speed limits in Wales. Further details including an opportunity to comment on the existing guidance can be found here. The Welsh Government will review the speed limits across the trunk road network, following publication of the guidance later this year.
