Answer
Answered by Minister for Education and the Welsh Language
The £260 million committed to implement the rollout of Universal Primary Free School meals is made up of £200 million revenue funding over three years (£40 million in 2022-23, £70 million in 2023-24 and £90 million in 2024-25). It also includes £60 million capital funding (£25 million in 2021-22 and £35 million in 2022-23) for local authorities to invest in improvements to school catering facilities, including purchasing equipment, upgrading existing kitchen facilities, and updating digital systems.
