What assessment has the Minister made regarding the current planning regulations and restrictions, and if they are adequate to facilitate the introduction of more renewable energy in rural areas?

Planning policies are kept under constant review. Through Future Wales: The National Plan and Planning Policy Wales we have a comprehensive policy framework to facilitate appropriate renewable energy projects. Further improvements to the consenting mechanisms for infrastructure projects will be the subject of a Bill which will be introduced this Senedd.
