Question

Will the Minister provide an annual breakdown of the number of pensioners in poverty in Wales?

Answer

Answered by Minister for Social Justice

Relative income poverty data for the number of people living in poverty in Wales is available on the Stats Wales website. The data is broken down using a range of criteria – for example, age, employment type, disability, ethnic group, housing tenure. Data is available for both the number and % of people in households in pensioner poverty, by adjusting the measure selected.

The data can be accessed here.
