Question
What consideration has the Welsh Government given to options to replace Transport for Wales as the provider of train services in Wales?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
No consideration has been given to options to replace Transport for Wales. In the absence of a fairly funded, fully devolved rail network in Wales, we will continue to engage with the UK Government on their plans to launch Great British Railways and press them to ensure that their plans meet the needs of Welsh society, our economy and our environment.
