What support is available to dog owners in Wales struggling with the cost of feeding and getting veterinary care for their dogs?

We have allocated more than £380 million to help vulnerable people to pay essential bills and to mitigate the impact of the crisis for disadvantaged households. We have also invested an extra £14.9m in the Discretionary Assistance Fund to support more people experiencing severe financial difficulties to access emergency financial help.
I know how important pets are to our daily lives and it is vital we do our best to care for them properly, whatever the circumstances. I am pleased animal welfare Third Sector groups in Wales are working together to support pet owners, and my officials work closely with the charities.
