Question
What discussions has the Minister had with Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Cardiff and Vale University Health Board regarding reducing waiting times to access the chronic and acute pain teams?

We have committed to reducing waiting times for all services and to provide annual recurrent investment of over £170m to support this commitment. Welsh Government officials supported by specific clinical leads, regularly engage with clinical leads within each health board responsible for pain. They seek assurances of current provision and provide support where appropriate. Officials are working with all health boards to understand where areas of concern exist relating to waiting times and to share best practice from areas where waiting times have been reduced. In addition, the Welsh Government are reviewing the actions within our Living with Persistent Pain in Wales guidance to ensure equitable services exist across Wales.
