Question
What progress has been made towards the establishment of a national rugby museum?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Arts and Sport, and Chief Whip
In 2018 Welsh Government commissioned and published a sports museum for Wales feasibility study Sports museum for Wales: feasibility study | GOV.WALES which recommended that the Welsh Rugby Union should consider the inclusion of an Accredited rugby museum or a rugby heritage centre within any future visitor redevelopment plans for the Principality Stadium. As far as Welsh Government is aware, there are no current plans to establish a national rugby museum.
