When does the Minister anticipate the tap in-out rail fare service to be operational across all train services in Wales?

As stated in our recently updated National Transport Delivery Plan a Pay As You Go pilot trial in South East Wales will be delivered for rail and bus services between Cardiff and Newport by Transport for Wales later this year. This will then be rolled out across the Core Valley Lines following the transformation works with future extensions of Pay As You Go introduced across all of the urban Metro areas by the end of 2027.
