Will the Minister work with Natural Resources Wales to develop a simpler and cheaper process for establishing hydropower stations that generate 25kW or less?

Natural Resources Wales undertook an exercise some time ago to ensure the information required for hydropower projects through the application process was proportionate to the likely impact of the generating station. This is not only influenced by project size but by a range of factors, with the specific features of the project location being particularly important.
We see no need for further changes but Natural Resources Wales are always discussing with stake holders ways to improve their customer processes.
