Will the Minister confirm how many jobs were created in South Wales East as a result of the action plan set out by the Ministerial taskforce for the South Wales Valleys to get an extra 7,000 people into work by 2021?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Economy
The ‘The Valleys Taskforce, 2016-2021: a final report’ (https://www.gov.wales/sites/default/files/publications/2021-03/the-valleys-taskforce-2016-2021-a-final-report.pdf) report prepared by OB3 Research on behalf of Welsh Government confirmed that more than 7,000 people in the Valleys had been supported into work. This included constituents within the South Wales East area.
