Question
Will the Minister clarify how many of the 300,000 trees in the My Tree, Our Forest campaign were originally set aside for eco schools and other public bodies?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Climate Change
7,000-8,000 trees in the My Tree Our Forest campaign were set aside specifically for 100 eco schools in Wales. No trees were set aside for public bodies nor went to any outside of Wales. However, plans were put in place for trees to be planted by all participating landowners if not all trees were collected by individuals. This included community groups, National Trust Cymru, Coed Cadw and NRW on the Welsh Government Woodland Estate.
