Question
What is the Welsh Government doing to ensure greater access to the Welsh countryside?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
The Welsh Government is delivering a number of funding and policy initiatives aimed at improving access to the Welsh countryside, working with a range of partners. These include funding a 3-year capital Access Improvement Grant, to Local and National Park Authorities that have public rights of way responsibilities. The £5.6 million grant will enable authorities to provide greater access to green spaces and increase under-represented groups’ access to the outdoors.
