How many of the new NHS dental contracts were not fulfilled, in full, at the end of this financial year?

End of year reconciliation does not take place until the end June 2023. The Welsh Government is not the contract holder for dental contracts and therefore this information would only be available from individual health boards.
A number of interventions were implemented in order to support practices in the delivery of their NHS contract last financial year. This included end of year guidance on mitigation for seeing a higher than average number of high needs patients and additional flexibilities around carryover of underperformance into 2023/24. Both aimed to support practices to deliver their contract in full.
