Question
How is the Welsh Government supporting young farmers at the start of their careers?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
The Welsh Government continues to provide support for young farmers at the start of their careers through programmes such as Farming Connect and Start to Farm (formally known as Venture). All eligible new entrants are also able to apply for any agricultural support schemes, as they become available. In the future, the proposed Sustainable Farming Scheme will be available to all types of farms and will support new entrants to enter the industry and establish sustainable businesses.
