Question
What discussions has the Minister had with Natural Resources Wales about the contaminated Tŷ Llwyd quarry in the last 12 months?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Climate Change
I have not directly engaged with either Caerphilly County Borough Council or Natural Resources Wales regarding this site. As lead regulator, the Council are required to assess and investigate any potential contamination prior to making a decision on the site’s future management. As this work is ongoing, I have asked my officials to liaise with both organisations to monitor progress and I continue to receive updates on the matter.
