Question
Further to WQ88375, will the Minister confirm how much money has been repaid to the Welsh Government by Cardiff Airport in respect of these loans, providing a breakdown of capital repayments and any monies paid in interest?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
No money has been repaid to-date. The £42.6m rescue and recovery package the Welsh Government put in place is designed to enable Cardiff Airport to become self-sustainable and profitable in the future. Under the terms of this package, loan repayments are due to commence in financial year 2031/32.
