Question
How is the Government working with families to increase school attendance?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Education and the Welsh Language
We expect local authorities and education settings to work with families to increase school attendance. A key pillar of our community focussed school model is family engagement. As such we continue to invest in family engagement officers this year by providing funding of over £6.5 million. Improving attendance is an integral element of the family engagement officers role.
