Will the Minister confirm a) the uptake of the Young Person's Start Up Grant and b) the average grant awarded to applicants?

Since its launch in July 2022, 1,036 young people have expressed interest in the Young Persons Start-up Grant, as part of a bespoke package of support for young people exploring self-employment.
To date 281 grants have been approved with the average grant totalling £1,865. The grant has attracted 54% females, 86% unemployed, 9% Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic and 10% disabled young people under 25 to access the grant and associated business support to help them start a business.
