Question
Will the Minister state the value of the Barnett consequential arising from the UK Government's announcement of £600 million social care winter workforce and capacity boost?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Finance and Local Government
The Welsh Government will not receive any new consequential funding following the announcement made by UK Government ministers on 28 July of a £600m package for social care. The UK Government has confirmed this funding is being met from existing Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) budgets set at the 2021 Spending Review which has already formed part of the Welsh Government’s Budget settlement.
